IE8 out today

Does it have a native Linux version?

No, thought so.

True. But in some of the developer releases they have taken a lot of steps to remove the Windows dependencies so that they can release a Mac and Linux version. Reckon it could be a while.

I lot of people hit IE down straight off the bat, but for me... every tool has a unique job in my toolbox.

* IE = Quick browsing (wanting to look at something quickly on the net, not browsing speed!) due to application load/boot time (Firefox is a bit of a memory hog)
* Firefox = Development - some brilliant addins like YSlow, Web Dev Toolbar... ext
* Chrome = For my Google tools i.e. GMail, Reader, Calendar, Docs

*Edit
Chrome, I doubt Google will ever add in NoScript on their own accord. This is Google's bread and butter, Ad Revenue. Chrome load time is a lot better than firefox but the NoScript is a huge problem for me. IE has something very similar to NoScript, and that is why its the browser I will still keep in my toolbox.

I am flabbergasted at the number of people who are going to install a M$ brow$er the second it comes out.

People! WAKE UP! It will have so many vulnerabilities, if your PC lives to see April I will be surprised.

Sorry your flabber is ghasted. As most independent reviewers report, IE8 is more secure than IE7, which is why I'm getting it as soon as the servers settle down a little.

Edit: Paul Thurrott is adding a detailed review.

I'll only download Internet Exploder because there are still some online sites which are optimized for it, other ways I dont touch it.
Agree with most people here, Chrome is the best but Im sticking with FF till Chrome supports my fav. add-ons.
