Funny enough, I just opened MyBroadband in order to bookmark it after switching back to Firefox from Chrome. The reason being that Chrome is doing an annoying thing in the form of grinding to a halt when I open more than 3 tabs. Could be a Windows 7 problem. Hopefully they fix it soon, as I love Chrome. But Firefox it is for now.

Likening IE8 to a 4x4 is hardly accurate, firefox with it's extensions can become anything from an ftp manager to an sql lite database manager, without ever becoming so annoyingly slow at rendering pages as IE8. Firefox 3.5 which is due in the next couple of weeks is going to be even faster and better.

Complaining about 87 MB of ram usage isn't really a valid argument either as all new computers come with at least 1GB. And another gig or 2 will hardly break the bank.

Firefox for me! the extensions just make it so much better...I hate having embedded flash load automatically on pages as well as all of the ads.

Tried them all through the years - Opera 10 Beta is my present fav

Chromes is nice but slow and full of bugs...

Not a chance.. its the fastest quickest browser out there. Ive only ever noticed one bug and that was with this forum and webkit.

I dont agree with the author of the article that Firefox is stable. Its broken countless times on several different machines for me.

Firefox is my regular browser but currently testing Chrome (dev version, 3.0.183.1) and I've been VERY impressed so far (on Kubuntu 9.04 Linux)

Still use Firefox predominantly. Those people who don't like Firefox just don't know how to use it or how to install add-ons. Firefox with add-ons is ten times better than any other browser out there. But loading more extensions does slow it down. When I have to check a website quickly I will just load up Chrome. But Firefox stays open to this board and to Gmail for 99% of the time my computer is on.

I know FF and its addons pretty well. I used to love it... but its too slow and clunky for me now. Luckily I dont need the addons above speed ... so Chrome totally blows me away.

True, I use Chrome as my Default browser. IE7 is used mainly for banking, FF is for managing my bookmarks as I think they look far better on FF. I have tried synching them to IE7 (Xmarks) but they just don't look as good as they do on FF. For some reasons FF is also way to slow (launching), even IE7 does better.

I recently swapped to chrome and was happy and impressed until i realized I was having problems with my FNB daily visit. Parts of the page wouldn't load and certain functions appeared not to be there. At first I assumed it was FNB's site as it isnt the most stable at times. But then I tried the same thing on IE and the site worked ok. But nonetheless except for my internet banking, its default to Google Chrome for me.
