Eagerly waiting for the pricing. I actually want to buy this os.

Windows 7 is Windows Vista minus the slow performance.

Why must we pay more than R30 for an upgrade to a flawed OS?

I am gonna buy two licenses.

One OEM for my desktop when I upgrade and one upgrade license for my laptop (Currently has a license for Vista Business)

Can't wait. But I will be getting RTM at the end of this month anyway :-D

“That said, while Windows 7 pricing is comparable to current Windows Vista pricing, its new features offer richer scenarios and more possibilities, meaning more value for the consumer...

I would love to see a side-by-side comparison between Vista and Win7. For some reason I don't think the two is that much different.

Think i will go for a full system upgrade when the OS is released !!! The RC is quite nice - Using it with no problems !

What's the release date for service pack 1?
I'll buy it then.

The Beta release was more stable than any other OS - no need to wait for a service pack.

This might well be the first M$ OS that I buy... I am really impressed with it.

so instead of R2,200.00 it will be R2,190.00 ? Whoooopee :|

Tell Microsoft I spent all of my money on XP. I will wait for Windows 7 Pirate Edition.

In the US you'll be able to buy the Win7 Home Premium Family 5 Pack for something like $149...

I think I will also be buying Win 7, like it a lot. I am also holding off getting a new notebook at work, as I don't want one with Vista - I hope my current notebook lasts till then :-D

Does anyone know if Microsoft SA is also going to offer a Windows 7 upgrade special like they did in the US? $49 for Windows Home Premium upgrade, $99 for Professional - quite a lot cheaper than the regular quoted prices.
