Snow Leopard pricing in SA revealed

Similar price to the UK and the rest of Europe.
 
I thought we'd somehow started canned hunts for leopards here ... patently I am a PC user.

Not really dude, microsoft make money off OS's not the sale of expensive hardware, if microsoft charged what apple do for computers maybe they would also be this cheap :D
 
$25 from Amazon. But I must say, our local price really isn't bad. I was expecting R500.
 
Wow! We not getting shafted for a change... Seems like Core won't be taking my assginitiy this time round.
 
So, as a new Mac owner (who bought a second hand Mac), what do I need to do to get this upgrade pricing?
 
I am quite happy with the pricing, remember that one has to include VAT aswell.

My rough calculation goes like this. $30 x 8 = R240 + 33,6 (VAT) = 273,6 + some custom duties is approximately R300 if you had to import it yourself the legitimate way.

R329 is worth it IMO and I will be upgrading as soon as I can get one in my hand.

As long as your mac already has leopard installed it should be a case of simply buying the upgrade package and installing.
 
Ok which are these core premium resellers where i can go buy a copy tomorrow? Im in sandton? Anyone know??
