Openweb just sent me this mail.

Wow!! We love new ideas! That is why when one of our clients contacted us and requested we up our 1024k Half Month Uncapped account for R649 to 4096k, we said, SURE, why not!!

This package works as follows:

* The package starts working on the 15th of each month, until the last day of the month you have purchased it in.

* The package is renewable, but will only start working on the 15th of each month.

* The package may be purchased any day of the month, but will only work from the 15th of that month. The username and password for the package will only be sent on the 15th.

* Weekday speeds will only be 128kbps local and international, however, Monday to Friday from 19:30pm until 07:30am, and ALL WEEKEND Long (Friday from 19:30pm until Monday 07:30am) the account will run at 4096kbps, if your ADSL line supports it.

* This is a beta product.

* P2P and torrent downloads will be allowed.

* The account is UNSHAPED after hours and runs on the FIBRE international network!

I took this about two months ago, but it wasnt 4mbps back then.
 
<sarcasm>Yippee. Uncapped, for half a month, after hours. How exciting</sarcasm>

I'm really starting to think ISPs take us all for idiots.
 
So that's 108 hours a week at full throttle x four weeks x 400k/sec x 60 secs x 60 mins

That's around 600 gigs a month is it?
 
and this is "if" it works as it is suppose to work, which i doubt keeping in mind how many uncapped clients's packages are giving them *** throughout the month, month 2 month...
 
Axxess 384k uncapped is still better, for a little bit more. 4meg speeds after hours, every day of the week and all weekend.

Try again OW.
 
why cant they just start off 384 kbps uncapped at a reasonable price.too many ppl are obsessed with downloading at 400 kbps :p.... im used to 384 now and id love to go uncapped if the prices werent still ridiculous
