Moral persuasion fails with Vodacom and MTN, says ICASA

I wonder what is in the VC/MTN interconnect agreement that they do not want to disclose.

vodacom and mtn we are not pleased with your actions.. trust me, the consumer on the ground knows that you do not care and are clearly willing to contravene the law in order to make higher profit. screw you...

Vote with your wallet. In other words if a company is doing something you do not like, do not use them. If that is not practical them use them as little as possible. That is the control you have as a consumer, and it is much more effective and sensible than depending on the government.

Me too...They're like a child, hiding something behind their back, as the adult walks in...

Just seems stupid though - as apparently ICASA has oversight authority and would have had to approve the past agreements before they valid anyway - I guess they are objecting to the other role-players in the industry seeing this agreement which seems to indicate that they are not playing fair.

+1000 - requires a dedicated collective effort though. Question is - how to achieve such an effort.

Why am I not surprised?

Very puzzled as to why ICASA wants to undertake ''impact studies''....most probably the impact on their bank accounts since Vodacom and MTN wont be paying them bribes anymore.
