Firefox add-ons: Consume media a better way

Tabbrowser Preferences used to be the most AWESOME of all tabbed browsing extensions for Firefox. Unfortununately development work stopped at about Firefox 2.0.

Anybody remember/used this addon? It was extremely customisable (not for sissies) and is what converted me to Firefox in the first place, all those years ago. Luckily, Tab Mix Plus has filled most of the huge void left when dev on this extension stopped...
 
Flashblock is a great time saver preventing flash content from loading automatically.
Weave for synchonising history, bookmarks and filled in form contents across multiple computers is indispensible to me.
Scrapbook for saving web pages and manipulating the saved copies, e.g. take multi-page articles, erase all the junk and join the text into one page.
 
"Adblock Plus" only reason I will not use another browser.
"Firebug" for my webdev needs.

Fast Dial maybe a direct ripoff from Opera. But it does the business.

The ones I run:
Adblock

Fast Dial
NoScript
Secure Login (a wand imitation for those who are Opera fundis)
Tab Mix Plus
unMHT (save pages as MHT - The greatest thing to come from IE)
Xmarks (synchronise bookmarks offsite)
 
The ones I use are
Forcastfox for weather
Fox clocks for time zones
Net Usage Item for bandwidth usage
 
Kinda useless plugin but sometimes I find it usefull is FlagFox, displays country flag of where the site is hosted in the address bar.

Fastestfox( Previously SmarterFox I think) does the same. And offers a bit extra.

Though it's not really useful in any practical sense, Flagfox is certainly interesting. Apart from giving you an idea of just how many SA websites are hosted offshore :( there are some real surprises. Install it and then go to http://www.whitehouse.gov.

SearchStatus by local guys Quirk is good if you're interested in search rankings of sites.

Xmarks is superb if you need to sync bookmarks across multiple platforms. I prefer to run my own WebDAV server, rather than use their public site, and it's completely seamless.

BTW, I use(d) 'DND' (Domain Details) on FF 3.5, but it doesn't seem compatible with Firefox 3.6b1 :( , and tried 'flagfox' but that doesn't display anything at all, although it's reported as 'installed'. Using Kubuntu 9.10
OK, found it. The addon was being displayed in the address bar instead of the status bar ;)
Another thing, flagfox indicates fnb as hosted in ZA ;)
BTW, 'DND' is no longer supported as an addon.

Lastpass is essential for security in any browser - I had my ebay account hacked after picking up a nastie. Lastpass doesn't store passwords in plain text in the browser - it also stores them with an email login so you have access to your saved passwords on any computers with lastpass installed.

Specifically in Switzerland. There's a story behind this, BTW. The Obama administration has created a content-rich, multimedia site, and has contracted Akamai as global content delivery network. Having a host server in Switzerland is a consequence of this.

FWIW www.joburg.gov.za / www.joburg.org.za is hosted in Germany, and not on a content delivery network. At least there is decent bandwidth across the Atlantic, but Jo'burg has no excuse. There really can't be many users outside South Africa, so they're just using up everyone's international bandwidth every time they check their accounts etc.
