Anyone know if this will work on the N95?

wow, donwloading the maps using map loader right now!!!

mmmm, what to use, Garmin XT or this ovi maps.....

Maps have pretty much always been free. Actual live voice navigation not so much...

Garmin gets my vote, i dont have to worry about my phone pulling down data continuously

once the maps are loaded on the phone using map loader i don't see the phone using a lot of data or any for that matter....

It depends... sometimes if you search for a destination if will go online and pull the data down, sometimes its fine and does not.
fyi i keep both on my phone, i find Garmin XT locks on to my location far quicker, user interface is far more intuitive

okay, noted.
Only been using Garmin so far so can't do harm to have a look at Ovi

It only pulls data to allow you to lock on quicker. Once that's done it doesn't use any data. You can disable the setting if you wish.

ive been using nokia maps since V2, and i found that despite me loading maps from my pc, it does pull down data (for maps/POI's) even after locking on e.g. whilst driving

i did a trip from cape town to durban using both Garmin XT an Nokia OVI maps, and the nokia maps kept on pulling down data as we drove through the karoo

My Nokia Maps licence just expired and at the exhorbitant renewal fees I just said no.

Suddenly OVI maps are free, is this with free voice, turn by turn navigation?

Anyway, will check this out, wonder about the people who just recently did the subscribtion renewal :erm:

Amazing what can happen when Google decides to make turn by turn Navigation free on the Android platform.
