hi guys

i'd like some expert advice, pls.

please excuse my ignorance, but what is so great about the is news server? i've picked up that it's a bit like a p2p dumping ground so should be lots of multimedia stuff available.

i guess my question is what is available (mp3's, avi's, etc?), are there restrictions on content and is this accessible through a saix account?

thanks a mil... apologies for not being in the loop... trying to get there ;)

It's not accessible through a SAIX account, SAIX does have its own news server but its not really worth using.

You can't access the IS news server through SAIX. And apparently SAIX's news server is completely useless.

What's available - everything.

the news server rocks
its awesome better than any p2p program ive ever used

you can get porno music movies games appz everything

AMAZING

39 gig and counting i leave it running 24/7

phone openweb and get a 30 gig local only aco****

The saix one is useless, but you can buy an international server account. Newshosting.com . its works well. the reason why the IS news server is so good is that is uses local bandwidth which makes it much more cheaper to download stuff :)

Style

Its all right - undeniably slower than a good international news server but still useable.

100gig and counting this month, looks like its going to be a good one, maybe near 150,160gigs

thanks!!!

hey, thanks so much for the feedback, you guys are awesome!

sounds great... i think i might get two adsl accounts - one is local and the other for international traffic. i assume i can set up both on my router and then when venturing online choose with which one to connect.

what do guys think of the x-dsl is adsl accounts advertised on their homepage. the prices look quite competitive especially R75 for their 1 int / 10 local package?

again, thanks a mil for the info.

Might be a stupid question...of sorts...

But is there an easy to follow tutorial on how to use the news servers? (to download "illegal" things)

What programs to use? What binaries to subscribe to? etc.

Might be the wrong question to ask here, but thought I should since everyone's raving about it.

:L:
