[Emburst] R480 uncapped???? OMW!!

Has anyone used this before?. Emcom/Emburst is apparently similar to i-burst. Im going to try find out some more however if anyone has used them before please post info here, such as latency and service and opinions etc

I followed up an ad that says "Broadband at Dam good prices"

Modem price to buy outright ranges from R1300-R2something000

Ya the first month is a bit heavy, rather buy the modem outright.
But R550 uncapped is DAM good.

Plus my first month if I had to go with Telkom would also be almost R2000.00 for all the installation and everything

BTW their pricing structure appears uneven. For instance 12 month contract is much cheaper than 36month overall?? But like MUCH cheaper
And also purchasing the modem is like R3000.00 cheaper overall than monthly payment?? unless I read wrong

Very poor website, it says from R480pm but doesn't give any info on what speeds apply to which prices. The only thing that I managed to find was that it's up to 512kbps, in which case uncapped at R480pm is probably around 128kbps. How much data could one get from that?

Thanks but I'll stick to 512kbps ADSL with 30GB data for now.
 
Website appears to be under construction though. If I can get 512kbps then its worth it, but 128kbps is not
 
I wouldn't trust any company that can't even pay R50 for a decent .co.za domain name :/

That's just my opinion on the whole thing. Also always remember that if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. ;)

They use a free domain, can't they afford to pay R50 for a co.za domain
 
Hope this will trigger a price war ;) :)

Maybe they should have hired somebody to design a proper web page, that one is so tacky... :D
 
I know everyone already said it, but I don't think we could ever say it enough. WHAT A HORRIBLE WEB SITE!

It hurts my eyes!

And whats even more disturbing is they offer website design!!!!
