looks like my international browsing with IS has just taken a holiday.

Weird, it's only some sites, say 70% of the page I try that time out, the rest (and local only pages) all good..

The good international sites aren't cached, I made sure of that and I'm not capped

AFFECTED SERVICES: International ADSL
AFFECTED POPS: National
GRADE OF SERVICE IMPACT: Critical Outage SERVICE IMPACT: No connectivity
CAUSE OF EVENT: Cause unknown at present

Same here. A fat pain.

UPDATE:
Service provider reports links are down due to bad weather in Roaring Creek.
IMPACT: No connectivity
STATUS: Implementing solution

* i think the reason behind some sites working and some not is probably due to routing on the IS infrastructure. Those sites not going over their crappy sat links are not affected most likely.

this whole month IS' international has been so slow it's beyond a joke.

COH is almost unplayable pings of 1000+, while my WA account gives pings around 400.. It wasn't like this last month, but the last few weeks it's really gone down the drain

IS International Link is oversaturated, they're awaiting more bandwidth from Telkom again I'm told. Email support and ask them, they will more than likely confirm.

Until then we pay the same prices for a #@#$%@#$ service. Mine has been crawling for a month or two.
