Sheesh - then just force them to (unbundle).

I am sure Telkom is just quivering in their shoes after yet another toothless statement by guavamint.

He will keep the same incompetents on at the DOC as he needs their political support, not because they are any good at their jobs.

Does anyone actually listen to Mbeki anymore.

I mean we all know Telscum laugh at them and continue doing their own thing anyway, since they're above the law and nobody seems willing to touch them.
 
I think that Mbeki will find that our IT skills will improve significantly if more people have access to a computer and the Internet ... maybe I should have said elctricity first :D. But anyway, the point is if broadband is more affordable I think we will find that more people will become interested in the field ... can't train people on something that isn't there.
 
The man is completely and utterly useless. If he wanted to take action he would take it, not spew more rubbish.

This is just the latest attempt of our wonderful government to pretend that this situation is not exactly what they want and their doing. How many people are still fooled by this though?

I guess just the ones that matter - the uneducated, uniformed electorate who continue to vote these idiots into power.

icasa uploaded the submitted responses to the draft document late last week (available from home page scroll to the right)

awaiting date for hearings...

I think that it is positive that our president admits that there is a problem.

I can only assume that ICASA has not yet been 'borg'ed and consequently is not a part of the collective. Presumably Ivy-of-Nine (apart from not looking good in a lycra space suit) cannot be criticised publically for her, and her department's, responsibilities in this state of affairs.

One can only hope that leader of the ANC hive mind is rather sterner with his lieutenents in private...
 
by now only action should make headlines.. i mean we so use to gov saying things but not following thru or affecting your monthly payment
 
lol this kind of thing seems quite farmiliar to me. We have an employee who tries very hard to be in charge of her little section. The way she "manages" things is to go into a hissy fit, shout out orders, and then retires to her hole, satisfied that she has now done her job and the problem will be solved. Only thing is, absolutely no directives have been issued, no plan of action set in place, no date or time commitments made and agreed on. Just some useless ramblings, identifying a problem and that it should be fixed. Seems to be the South African way of doing things, it's called "pass the buck 101". Enough allready....
