Hi ppl

I would like to hear your input w.r.t which AV is the best around on the market.

Check this site out and give me your feedback on how true the ratings are and if you disagree and why?

http://internet-security-suite-review.toptenreviews.com/

I have tried out AVG,PC Cillin, Spy Sweeper and now Bitfender.

I think that the antivirus+firewall+spyware all together counts for me.
Tell me who would you choose and why? State your reasons why.

Lets see who comes out on top.

will it protect you when you go the warez,torrent,crack,astalavista and all those underground sites.

does nod32 protect you from viruses,spyware,firewall,etc.....

i will give it a try. i have just installed bitdefender and found a virus.

Anti-Virus -> AVG or NOD32.

Firewall -> ZoneAlarm.

That's what I use anyway. Reviews vary from site to site so I wouldn't set my heart on them.

then you need something like spybot search and destroy for anti-spyware/malware. AVG anti-spyware is pretty good as well. then there's webroot spysweeper but i haven't used that yet, but it also gets good ratings. ZoneAlarm is a highly rated firewall app.

AVG Free 7.5 if you want a free solution. For a paid solution = NOD32 (or Eset Smart Security if you can afford it)

NOD32 is the best!

Free solutions just don't work! They might get the 'older' viruses but for complete peace of mind, I can suggest NOD32, I paid for it and it's been worth every cent!

NOD32 v3 FTW

Not the Nod32 is a bad product - its damn good, but I never believe comparisons. Like the AV company is going to release a comparison where their product looks bad. You can read 10 comparisons from 10 different companies and each time their product looks the best.

The best is to try it out for yourself.

I honestly tried out avg, and it slows down my computer! Norton stabbed me in the back once upon a time, and bitdefender just sucks! So i must give this nod32 thing a try, until then, i'l keep on freezing my pc to protect myself!

My experience with free solutions:

AVG: Clean interface, misses stuff, false positives
AntiVir: Decent detection rate, annoying pop-up ad when updating

ZoneAlarm: Easy to configure, ugly interface
Comodo: Nice interface, requires a lot of complicated configuring
