Afrihost - Pure Fibre Feedback Thread Part 2

Terrible connectivity on Metrofibre in La mercy, Durban. Logged with AH support - just checking if any AH support is online here.

Thanks, checked yours out now. Have you managed to get it resolved?

Mines resolved about an hour or so after I posted - but was an issue for around 4 to 5 hours yesterday. Mines sounds more like some FNO or ISP fault.

Yours on the other hand sounds like a genuine provisioning/migration issue on your profile. The support is non-existent via AH clientzone portal on the weekend it seems - not sure what the actual support times are on weekends.

I say your best bet is to wait for the AH team on here to get in on Monday and sort you out. Sorry the frustration mate!

It’s works intermittently, so ya I’m hoping they pick this up tomorrow via the forum
 
@Afrigirl My packet loss situation is getting really bad. Is it possible to log a call with Octotel? I see that Octotel is planning maintenance in Strand tomorrow, so not sure if this is related.1774255299427.png

I don't understand the question, my account is with Afrihost, I don't know how it works from there. But it was the same thing a couple of days ago.
I wanted to know who the fibre network provider is.

Sigh, my internet keeps dropping. Then I go turn the router on and off, wait, get some internet for ten or twenty minutes, then it drops again. What on Earth is going on?
 
Any reports on Openserve outage in Kimberley? Haven’t had connection for the last 12 hours.
 
Replaced my old ER-X with a UCG-FIbre last month and now I can see how bad the disconnects and packet losses are on Openserve :eek:
