Can someone confirm (or test) the polarity of the iburst desktop UTD power supply connector? My original PSU is dead and I have another PSU with a selectable voltage and polarity, but cannot test whether the centre pin is negative or positive (as it is dead), and it is not shown on original PSU...
Can anyone offer suggestions?
Since yesterday my pc goes into power saving mode while I'm working on it.
I've gone into windows (win 7 32bit) and disabled any form of power saver and screen saver.
I could be watching Youtube or reading myBB posts (as happened earlier today) when my screen...
I'm not sure how long the fan in the psu has stopped working, but I've just noticed it and the PSU is burning up.
Please let me know if you have replacement that I can collect on Friday 26 Oct 2012, in the Cape Town area.
The PSU needs to have at least 4 SATA connectors
Many Thanks
Has anyone replaced a Power Supply on a HP ML110 G5 server?
It slightly bigger than a desktop Power Supply (physical size), so a desktop PSU won't fit properly, although it works on the server.. Where can I get a replacement that will fit correctly ?

Hi all, was wondering whether anyone could help me with a PC problem I've been having:
My PC turns on, no beeps, nothing on the screen and the CPU fan isn't spinning. I've tried the usual steps such as removing RAM and checking for beeps, unplugging the graphics card, replacing the power...
Hi All,

I have about R900 budget for a new one.
I don't need something with that much power as I'm not running any sli, just something that...

HI,
I'm throwing together a PC and need a case.
I'd like one with those clips (without screws) for hdd and dvd drive bays, and a 400, preferably 500W psu.
It doesn't need to be brand name one, just a plain one that works nice. Any Ideas?
EDIT: Oh yeah, around the R400-R500 mark, less is...

Hello, I'm having a bit of a problem here, hope you can help me find what part of the computer is behind this.
For the past month, I've seen my computer restart on its own spontaneously about once or twice a week. Then yesterday I got home to a computer with a frozen window, mouse and...
I want to connect 2 powersupplies to one pc/motherboard.
I know how to manually jump a psu, but I want my secondary psu to automatically start when the computer is switched on. The 2 psu's dont have to be connected via the atx plug's, because my 2nd psu is just powering my hdd and cooling...
I already posted this in another thread but I though it was interesting enough to warrant its own thread. We always seem to overestimate how much power our systems need(which isn't a bad thing BTW) to power them when they actually need considerably less. Here is an interesting review on the...

Often when a PC reboots at random or acts strangely people will first suspect the power supply. While this is valid in some cases I do not believe that it is true in most of them.
I base this on the fact that I have been using the same 250watt power supply since 2000 when I got my first ATX...
