I remember the night and there was nothing special in particular about the night in question. I recently saw around 1300 currently active users online, and I was wondering when the record would be broken again.

Hasnt it always been there?

Perhaps it only appears on days where there is a forum member's birthday?
 
Lets see what happens Monday/Tuesday - no birthdays scheduled for then (which is odd as my birthday is then so I guess I never filled that out). :)
