10 Reason why Android is better than iOS vice versa.

Yeah no Windows Media Player was not great eitherand Groove Music is much better but iTunes just install a bunch of junk that slows down your PC and can probably be harmful to your security aswell. Bonjour and Apple software update etc.

You must have a pretty old machine to feel iTunes slows it down. I haven't seen any slow down since installing iTunes and it's only an i3 with 8GB of RAM.

What are you using? a Celeron with 1GB RAM?

You can get a glimpse on Android as well on the lockscreen, and can swipe on the lockscreen if you want to quickly reply or dismiss the message

This is what I mean

Android lock screen:

Same notifications on iPhone lock screen:

I don't want to have to fiddle and open the phone to pull down the notifications bar, just be able to see what the message is directly on the lock screen.

Is this possible?

No, I'm not a fan of the light background, not as easy to read in the car...

Don't get me started on the super white notifications pull down in Nougat

:p

+1, change it back to white text on black.

And here is why I love Android again. You make it your own.

I Hate all notifications. My phone's LED changes color depending on notifications. Red flashing = sms, Green Flashing = Whatsapp, Blue flashing = Telegram, Purple flashing = Missed call and so on.

Even when unlocked, I have no notification icons in top status bar, just numbers indicating unreads.

Doesn't help much having flashing lights when you drive during the day and want to know when that important email or text arrives and want to ignore all the other crap that can wait a couple of hours.

Being able to see the email or text message content in the notification is a priority, the app I've just bought looks able to do exactly that...

I know, but that is exactly what I am trying to point out. I work in a factory env, and sometimes leave my phone on the desk that I can see from the other side of double glass doors. Helps me sqat if it shows on the screen what I missed. Falshing coloured LED's on the otherhand.....

Not everyone is the same and some systems trying to treat us like we are.

Hopefully you will convert fully from that Apple device now ;)

Off to download some YouTube videos and music on my iPhone, oh wait. :D switches over to Android quickly, there we go lol

Maybe when iMessage, Find my Friends and ApplePay work on Android and we have full Apple Watch integration ;)

Oh, and a tablet to match the iPad.

Till then I'll keep a foot in each camp, as I have to have 2 phones it's no real hardship...

I hate iTunes, the interface has just gotten worse over the years. I only ever used it to upgrade the software, music/videos I put into the VLC folder using ifunbox. Android is a lot better in this regard, but VLC scans everything and I'd rather not have all the hundreds of short clips in the WhatsApp folder in my library.

It kind of forces you to use the built-in gallery if you aren't using the file explorer to get to stuff.

I only use iTunes to drag and drop music and videos to the iPhone, and do the occasional full update.

Seems fine for my use, I'm not a heavy user, but it certainly doesn't slow my laptop down though...
