It's called Floatify.
I've only had it installed since last night so can't comment on battery, will let Iceman answer that.

Floatify... No issue personally on battery drain, but it also depends how many apps you set to receive notifications. So it could vary from person to person.

On iOS you never have any problem finding covers or screen protectors for your phone. Almost any store that stock covers have something for you.

You have to sync it if you're using the built-in app. If you want to just quickly get a song when you're at a friend's house and he has iTunes, his library syncs with yours/yours with his.
Did they finally fix it?

I don't normally bother to sync before putting music on my phone (it's set to manually manage music and also is set to back up to iCloud), and I wouldn't connect either of my phones to some random pc that isn't mine...

That's why I said either phone, not even my Android phone gets poked with a strange plug in

Erm, I do not. I just have more than one PC in my house, am able to transfer/get files over WiFi.

In all my years, I only saw 1 virus on an Android phone and that was when I copied pirated software for someone.

An Android phone actually has a headphone jack. Noticing too many iPhone owners getting caught without one. So sorry they can't listen to music because the wireless headphone's battery is flat and the only backup is wired.
