The SD Express format improves transfer speeds up to 985MB/s through the PCIe interface.

Jeezuz, this is incredible! Bet the price would match the capacity though!

very cool, but again right now its expensive,

wait a few years and the price will drop quite a lot.

by then Im sure 1-Exabyte SD cards might be around:p

How much 8K porn would you be able to store on that?

a lot , probably enough to fill the library of congress a few times over,

but also for a listening bug to be hidden on your kitchen/living room when it was built, and stick around and record many decades of conversations.

Just bare in mind this is the theoretical maximum the standard can accommodate , much like SDXC standard (2TB limit) no cards exist yet in those sizes.

rules are meant to be broken,

as soon as the manufacturing and design improves enough to allow bigger and bigger SD cards,
Im sure new standards will have to be negotiated,
