Best micro SD card for steam deck?

So tried to by two memory cards from takealot for my steam deck and both of them could not format into ext4.

Can anyone recommend a decent microSD (256Gb and above) that will work with the steam deck? Preferably still from takealot but willing to try other places.

If you want to know which ones I bought

• Patriot EP Series 256GB V30 A2 MicroSDXC Card - Second one got delisted after it was delivered to me and I couldn't get a refund normally
• Biggest problem is that these were from 3rd party sellers, not sure how to know if it's sourced from Takealot directly?

SanDisk Extreme Pro. I'd be slightly wary about buying a memory card from Takealot right now unless you are sure it's coming from a reputable supplier.

I bought my 512gb from Takealot in 2023 for my 256gb LCD Steam Deck, and so far I have not had any issues with it... Link is for the exact listing & 3rd party supplier (Boabab). Otherwise check with Makro, and stick to known/reputable brands, and you should be good to go!
