192k to 384k? ~~~August 1st changes~~~

i was running at 40k downloads a couple of months ago on my 192k line, then telkom changed something then i was only getting 20k dl's. So i know for a fact that i will be getting those speeds agen
 
Gangstarr mine and a few others also sync at 384/128 :( Is there something we could do or somebody to speak to in order to make it sync ay 512/256? There's nothing wrong with the line cos I used to get 640/480 for a couple of months before they realised that the setting was wrong on mine.

question: y should it be syncing at 512/256 if we are getting an upgrade to 384? does not make sense should it not be syncing at 384? or am i missing something WRT syncing?

oooo how manny ppl sice have got adsl in your area?

Just like 192k doesnt sync at 192. 384k doesnt sync at 384k, it syncs at 512k.
But i have no idea why :)
 
AAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrg the next son of a b*** that calls in asking about y the upgrade has not happend and talk about false advertising im gonna suspend your line OK!!!!!!

Forgive me for being tech ignorant, but how is 128Kbps faster than 192Kbps. Mine is saying the 384/128 thing, but my speeds are slower than ever. Saturday I could play AOE online, today I cant cause my ping is so bad.

bad sign then.. u hinting that backhauls are the same.. ie if there was xxx ppl gettng 192k decently on a pipe its now all 384k so vooops goes speeds :rolleyes:
 
synching definitely has changed. Now conencting at 384/128. As for speed tests and downloads...still 192k speeds.
 
I'm not even going to check again today, it's going to make us all mad! Yesterday I was jumping up and down every 30mins or so rebooting my modem and checking speed!

But today I have decided to just let it be.
When I get "upgraded" it will be cool I'm sure ill notice it ;)

I still haven't got an upgrade...

My router is syncing at 640/352 (i'm on homedsl192)

Is this a good thing?

Also, I get a couple of CRC errors every few seconds on the downstream...

Called "them" about it yesterday and they said they would get back to me...

Yeah, right.
 
LoL guys.... I think we all need to jst wait............

When it gets done it gets done......

I myself have had this 192k for jst under a year... so to me another week or two isnt to bad....

Ill wait.... Be glad when its done...... :)
