1st ID application for teenager

Conflicting info incoming...

Did my son's online and went in last week for the biometrics. You have to upload docs...
When we got at HA, they said the docs didn't upload. I just printed a copy of his birth cert and they accepted. Had my ID and mother's ID on hand.

Yeah my predicament atm. Getting a lot of conflicting info. Well, will have to take the copy and hopefully that will do.

Or find the box with the original in it? That sort of eliminates all of the potential issues in one swoop.

He's probably going to need it sooner or later anyway.

Wait for a fire in an informal settlement, claim to have lost all documents in the fire, have HA issue you an ID free of charge, thank me later.
It's free anyway.

Tried to look for it last night. Shyte out of luck.

Eish, daughter turns 16 in August and her mom is in England so that is going to be fun.

I wanted to let you know that I was able to do my son's application just fine without mom being there, but they do require a copy of mothers ID if the Father brings in the child. For some reason Fathers are still seen as second rate parents?

Perhaps just get a certified copy from her.

They validate the parent via biometrics, so a parent needs to be present.

As far as the birth certificate is concerned, a copy was fine for them. They are more interested in the parents ID's and fingerprints.
