More stats:

Aus opening bowlers combination: 32 wickets
SL opening bowlers combination: 26 wickets
NZ opening bowlers combination: 18 wickets
ENG opening bowlers combination: 16 wickets
SA opening bowlers combination: 12 wickets

At least Polly is 13th on the economy table. Ntini is in 42nd place behind such greats as McCallan (Ireland), Varaiya (Kenya), Langford-Smith (Ire), Davison (Can) and Kamande (Kenya).

I heard that when proteas played against the pakis in cape town, ntini was signing outographs after the game on the boundry - he would only sign for the kids who spoke causa to him. If i was there with my son and he said that i would of jumped over that fence and rammed a cricket ball up his vegemite sphincter. Imagine saying that to kids, ever since i heard that i dislike the causa man.

Thats not good. I saw him playing to the camera when they ran onto the field. It's a pity he didn't focus more on this bowling and less on stuff off the field. As much as I dislike Nels shenanigans, at least he has some fire.

Smiddy must feel a little incompetant - outwitted, outplayed, out??? (whatever the last one is) Fleming has made a meal of smiddy

If I remember, the last match they played, he did the same thing. Smith has a lot to learn. It has really hurt SA that they didn't let him play under a strong captain for a bit first.

Fark this I'm heading out instead. Styris was dropped by Prince, and now Fleming dropped by Boucher  How the fark do they expect to bowl NZ out if they drop catches. Stuff this!

NZ did the same thing to SL. Three dropped catches in the first 25 overs and game, set and match. Same thing here. This game is of no consequence so why bother.

Commentators suggesting smiddy had nothing to do with petersons selection - hence he aint bowled yet and hence smiddy dont fancy him

Can we blame him? Peterson sucks! This whole fscking team is playing as though they don't want to win the cup!

Yeah but wouldn't you want the points to at least move closer to the semis? It doesn't matter if its of no consequence, why would you still want to forfeit the points? Just to avoid Aus? We've beaten them enough times in the past, why should we be scared of facing them in the semis?

Here is my prediction for the next match. We are going to go in with Langeveld in place of Pieterson or Pollock. A six prong bowling attack because they don't want to drop Ntini. So we will only have 5 recognised batsmen in the side and 2/3 part timers (Boucher, Hall and possibly Pollock).

They should play for the points in case WI beat ENG or a draw between ENG-WI or ENG-SA.
