Semi predictions - oz,nz,sa,sl. in no particular order. i am hoping though that sa and oz avoid each other in the semis so that maybe they can meet in the final...

Yup, I think you're right with these. Please dear lord let us not meet the aussies in the semis, again.

One thing guys, i've been hearing a bit of in the last few days is the words 'best team in the world'. Now, as you guys are number 1 its surprising to me to listen to South african based cricketers, sports journo to apply the label, 'best team in the world' to the Ausssies. Dunno if you guys have picked that up anyhwere, but i must admit, its kinda disrespecting SA's cricket team.

Adam Bacher said it the other night on telly, and he said it as a general term, not as in current WC status. I've heard this on 2 other occasions on talk radio, Gary kirsten also mentioned the same thing that the aussies are the best team in the world.

Perhaps the Aussies are?

Off course thay are on paper, but we still beat them on a regular basis. Its their sheepish arrogance that gets to them :D

They have a better cricket growth and development structure. Better exposure and a working system. We are still f@rting in the wind.

Most certainlty you dont beat them on a regular basis. Havent beaten them in a test series since '94. And dont think you've won too many odi series against them.

I would just be a little piissed off if people were saying OZ are the best, meanwhile SA is ranked no.1 (and i was on the SA team)

Well it's definitely disrespectful to call the aussies the best when we have no. spot. But don't worry, when we win win the cup there wont be any confusion as to who exactly is no.1. :):)

It is disrespect for sure. SA is number one according to the stats and they are what counts.

I think the fact that OZ beat SA and that they have scored 300+ in their last six games seems to be clouding people's judgment somewhat :p

207-7,

need 60 of 28 now.

If they only had wickets in hand. :( Pommies bowling is similar to Pollock's. :(

EDIT: 2 wickets in hand
