Hi guys wonder if you could help me out i have a 1.6 xlt bantam and i cannot for the life if me get it in learning mode to program the remote,

The chip is working 100 because it still starts the car but i cant lock or unluck using the remote.

One thung i notice is that both indicators flashes when i put the ignition into position 2.

I tried the following to get it into learning mode, 4 x on and off then press the lock button

Hope there is someone out there who can help me.

Thanks in advance

The strange thing is that everytime i put the key in position 2, the indicators goes off. Almost like my hazards were on.

Maybe i need to reset the system or something,

Morning, morning, finally reconnected the battery terminals. And the problems remains. Im starting to fear there is something wrong with the rx on the bakkie,

Hopefully u guys have some more ideas.

Is your remote battery ok? remember the chip does not necessarily need a battery to work but your transmitter does so if the remote battery dies your remote won't work but your chip will still work.

Yes had it tested ay a lock smith, they put it on a device to check the frequency aswell

Is it a factory fitted security system? if so maybe it's time to turn to your local Ford dealership I don't think it will be expensive to have it programmed.
