I'm saying that popularity does not necessarily indicate a good or bad product so judging a car or brand based on how many people buy it is pointless.

Case in point the ANC still gets majority vote every 4 years. Does that make them a good party or government?

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

The Anc keeps winning do to the lack of a viable alternative.

It's like you can get a Kia, a Renault or an Opel. Obviously you going to go with the Kia. They the Anc of that trio of vehicles.

Audi is competing in North American, European and Asian markets where consumers can have their pick of any vehicle. And in these environments they showing amazing growth. The brand is going from strength to strength in a highly competitive market.

They fixed that 5 years ago, but yes, it was a major issue. Still even with that a Vectra could beat an A4. Premium means nothing without a rich history, and a badass 80s rally car does not quite cut it.

Audi does not have a 300SL, or an E-type. Hell, they don't even have anything to answer for on the sexy yet affordable '68 GT.

Heard of it? I have driven a few DKW two stroke grassnyer engine cars. Audi lack what other German names have.
