2016 Opel Astra K

Its the Astra J OPC. There are rumours of an Astra K OPC as a 4 door and 1.6l engine but nothing more concrete.
 
What you mean...? There is going to be a new Astra (K) OPC. It will have a 1.6T motor. It should not be long till it's shown...maybe Paris Motor Show even.

The new GT is not confirmed as yet.

You seem to be correct. Found something online mentioning it. Just don't understand why they selling last generation models then because that would mean they still producing it. Leads one to believe they holding out for a change.
 
The OPC division works pretty much like any other tuner - they get the cars after it goes into production and then they start tinkering with it.

Astra J is still in production - remember the recently released Buick Cascada? It's a J convertible.

The current OPC has over 200Kw, It would be very interesting to see how they are going to improve on that with a 1.6T motor.
 
That new auto sounds so good. Really would love to have one in a few years time when they are affordable. They have come such a long way since the 2008 H 1.8 auto 4. At the price and with the looks it would hopefully steal some buys from people that would otherwise become dull drivers.

As always I am in two minds. Today as I rode back from Wolseley over Bains Kloof Pass in the Corsa I has a nice drive but in the back of the car was a second hand dream that I bought two weeks ago. A Silverback Sola 1 MTB which sold for much more new than I bought it for used. I know it's German and the car I am currently in is German - but it gave me a lot of hope for 2nd hand dream machines. Pretty sure I can wangle some kind of deal to get that 407 Coupe in exchange for the Corsa. But should I?

2nd hand dreams? Maybe the kind of thing I should be doing more now that I'm 35.

Back to the Astra K auto... if I only could I would. Guess I should update the story of my H...
 
I agree the 407 Coupe is a beauty in many ways & that price was super keen. Go for an "extended test drive" & report back

Apples with Apples the latest Pug 308 is a properly good car that goes head to head with the C-segment class leaders i.e. G7; Astra; 3.
