2017 International Tests

Japan has beaten Romania 33-21. Apparently it was a poor game by the Japanese with only Leitch and the new youngster, Noguchi, being standout players.

I really hope the Crusaders improve! To see them pointless after 20 minutes is a surprise.

The Lions seem to have their kicking game under control, able to apply pressure on the return. In their previous two games they hopelessly kicked the ball away without a plan. They are also intended to carry the ball more against the Saders. A huge alternate in tactics today, Saders still need to read into the game.

Commentator making a good point. This ref is blowing too quickly instead of speaking to the players and giving them a chance before blowing. Impacting too much on the flow, imo.

Yeah, sorry. This ref is garbage. Ignored a blatant professional foul by Itoje on the Lions try line. Ignores their offline play. Ignores their scrums collapsing etc.

That being said, Lions playing very well. Murray is the key. Bloody good scrumhalf.

Oh well, it looks like my bet is a goner. Was really expecting more from the Crusaders. This is also a much improved Lions team.

I only see now that the Wallabies has silenced the Fijians. The pacific islanders had high hopes, and a better team this year around. Then I had a closer look and it seems that they have drawn in many overseas-based club players, very few Warriors played which had a great season so far, this year. 37 - 14 is a big loss, would have expected a tighter margin.

I agree. Did not support momentum at all, even when the Lions were unable to slow the ball down he simply stopped played. Then I thought, maybe he is more used to the French league? But then to take notice how he handled the scrums... Dubious.

I also agree that the Lions improved, they resolved the many issues that they have experienced with their kicking game, cleaned it up and applied the pressure on the return. They also carried stronger in their set plays. It may have been that Gatland experimented which play style will work best, but the kicking in the prior two games was totally directionless. It reminded me on how the Sunwolves play Super Rugby, kick, kick, kick… without any control. The thing is, the Saders was hurdled in playing their game, that in return gives more confidence to the opposition.

MTN obviously had SARU by the balls. I can't imagine them willingly agreeing to that monstrosity!

Also, how empty is Loftus!

Backline is looking pretty slick but it seems clear we need a bit more grunt in the back row

We need players who can influence the game in the back line we don't have that. This will hurt us against the bigger nations, if not against France already.
