Toyota's Veloster with raised suspension.Toyota's Juke
This car looks really really good but don't know what Toyota SA is aiming for... from initial comments it seems it will fit in just just under the Rav 4 so it will be expensive, it looks small with little rear legroom and a small hatchback size boot... so it's unpractical as well. Would think that the ideal way to market it is a smaller, more affordable, sporty Coupe SUV (like a "poor" man's BMW X4), but then they went and stuck a puny little engine in it?? Doesn't make sense at all...
This car has many direct competitors. It is going up against the Juke, Mokka, 2008, Cactus, Captur, EcoSport, 500X, Vitara/SX4 etc etc... Even your beloved Koreans have a player on the way in the Creta. It is the fastest growing segment in the world.
All of them cheaper, except the Mokka which has a 1.4 Turbo? Usually it is wise to read slowly, think, then reply, but only if you understood what you read. My point was not that small crossovers are not popular... I'm gonna assume you're one of those trolls who just feels the need to disagree on anything without reading first, so will try and ignore you further![]()

I've just glanced at news items.
It appears to be sourced from Turkey!
Do they have better roll offs than India?
Not stirring, just asking.
What other vehicles are sold in SA that come from Turkey?
I hate it when people disagree with you, when they know nothing about the subject they are disagreeing about. For anyone that is not ignoring me like Mr High Horse above... So the predicted price range is R320k - R350k. Juke is R288k - R396k. Mokka is R310k - R361k. Cactus is R249k - R314k. 500X is R279k - R347k... Ou Boerie prefers to compare it to a vehicle that starts at R722k.
Trolling again? In any part of the world 320k is more than 288k, 310k (for 1.4 turbo), 249k and 279k. But since you can't even understand basic English to realise I wasn't comparing it to a BMW X4, I guess basic maths is also a step too far. Malema is that you?![]()
