Further to my earlier posting #95

I really think it's got to the point where I need to take legal action.

This situation is going from bad to worse. At 7:30am this morning .. another R801,26 was debited to my Bank Account, by this incompetent bunch at .. NAEDO REPRESENTATION NUDEBT, who are TM's agents for outstanding monies .. even though I had contacted them directly on Monday morning, and e-mailed them the details of the whole TM fiasco, .. and proof that the account has been paid up to date.

According to them, .. they say, .. THEY only act on TM's instructions.

So, why is TM's billing department, .. NOT informing them that the account has been paid. That's twice now, that I have been fraudulently debited, .. 1st at one week after I had paid, .. and again today, .. which is 2 weeks after I've paid.

Who gives these people the right to fraudulently debit my account whenever the hell they feel like it. That's another R22.00 penalty for unpaid items, .. bringing my total up to almost R90.00 in penalties.

... and ALL because TM cannot get their act together. There seems to be a serious lack of communication between their departments, .. as well with them, .. and this NAEDO REPRESENTATION NUDEBT agency.

This really has become a criminal matter now.

Hi,

Well, .. a lady from your billing department contacted me yesterday (Mon). She assured me that I was only going to be debited R299.00 on the 30th of Sept, .. and confirmed that I now had a 10Gb + 10Gb Night Surfer, and NOT a 10Gb + 20Gb Night Surfer. She also assured me that she was going to get back to me, before the end of the day, with regards the renewal of my contract, .. and why I am technically being overcharged (299 vs 199). She never called back!!! ?

Today is the 1st, ... and when I check my available Data balances ... I NOW ONLY HAVE 10 Gb .. !!!!!!!! ... I HAVE NO 10Gb Night Surfer !!!!!

So, not only did they remove the additional 10 Gb Night Surfer which they erroneously added to my account, AND overcharged me for, ... they have also removed my original 10 Gb Night Surfer as well.

SO, .. now I am paying R299.00 per month ... for 10 Gb !!!!

This has really gone way beyond just being ludicrous now, .. and I feel that Telkom Mobile has given me no other recourse but to cancel this contract.

Whom can I contact, to have this contract cancelled ... with NO CANCELLATION FEE TO ME ?? This is NOT something I wanted to do ... but that TM has forced me to do, .. therefore THEY must absorb the cancellation fee. This whole ordeal has already cost me, .. money in the form of bank penalties and credibility with my bank (4 returned debits in a 14 day period totalling R2,800.00), .. as well as a loss in income due to the excessive amount of time (>15 hours) I have spent on the phone, and at a TM branch, as well as Absa, ... in trying to get this, TM-created problem resolved.

It's unfortunate, that after 2 years of great service from 8ta/TM, both in terms of the quality of service and billing etc., and without ANY issues whatsoever .. that, .. one would assume, ... would be a relatively simple act of renewing one's contract .. could result in such a complete and utter disaster.

I have wasted hours and hours of my time trying to resolve this matter as amicably as possible, .. to no avail.

In my 30 years in the IT industry, ... I have never ever experienced such gross incompetence, and really cannot take a chance that IF this matter is EVER resolved ... it will STAY resolved.

Wish you good luck Tom. The more i tried to get my case resolved, the more ammendments took place. All the changes made accumulated fictitious figures on my account. Noone at telkom could solve the fiasco. Eventually after being emotionally and financially tormented, i gave up trying to resolve. I paid up and servered my ties with telkom. It cost -/+ 4k. My two friends also embroiled in a similar saga lost 4k combined. It appears Its amoney spinning scam hatched by telkom

Please respond to the pm I sent you this morning.
I would like to know how one of my contracts (SAVER 1) has been changed to prepaid (8TA MORE) without my knowledge.
The airtime I have accumulated has also disappeared as well as the data.
The debit order has also gone off for this account - but if its prepaid what is happening to the money being debited to my account?

My renewal went without any problems. Today I got 10 Gig night surfer data and my debit order was only R216 as it used to be.

I sent you a PM yesterday concerning my older than 2 years 10 + 10 Gb data contract for which I currently still pay R299. I have not heard from Telkom Mobile yet. Thank you!

Will it work with an Afrihost Mifi dongle? And no I will not be cancelling my 5GB for R145 from Afrihost ;)
Certainly, as long as the MiFi is not network locked it will work with Telkom Mobile. You also need to confirm telkom Mobile coverage in your area.

Certainly, but it is only available for existing Internet5 Promo contract holders that are due for renewal.

In short Telkom Mobile are not interested in getting new customers.

Totally agree fully if they were interested in new customers they would make a plan for mybroadband community members to be allowed in on this deal :p

They are sponsors after all for MyBroadBand conference maybe we should go to their stand

Looks like I'm in the same boat.

Someone from Telkom Mobile phoned me last month and offered me the reduced R199 for 10GB + 10GB offer for a loyal customer, but today I received an invoice from TM, stating that I'm going to be charged R299 + an additional R100 for the "old" night surfer bundle I had, which I asked them to remove from my account.

I am utterly disappointed that Telkom Mobile lied to me. Maybe they don't want customers anymore?

If my contract expires today. When will my last payment of 299 be for the old contract before I start paying 199 for the new contract? Thanks
