2TB Anytime data

I will try the, thanks. Would an Xpol 6 make any difference or would it negate the CA?

You will still get CA but no 4x4 mimo.

If your issue is signal related then an antenna is a good choice. If the issue is congestion then even plugging a cable directly into the tower won't help so good to test a bit.

A directional antenna would possibly give you an option to look for another tower.

I think it’s congestion because I’m always on 5 bars and my RSSI hovers around -71dBm and RSRP -98dBm. According to my investigation, there are 3 towers within a 1km range but only 1 of them can do Band 40. B40 gives me up to 20Mbps on a good day, whereas B1&3 give me in excess of 40Mbps.

I’ll try moving my router around again and set it to bands 1&3.

Thanks for the advice.

We will be offering it.

Dev is still working on the code to include it in our system. You will be able to upgrade to it and new clients will be able to get a sim only delivered for free just like the current simcards.

Any ETA when it will be available?

Dev is still busy with most of the changes.

The package is available in the order page on

or when you want to change your package in ClientZone you can select edit package and should see the 2TB listed there.

We are selling the sim only package for R797 per month on a month to month basis with free rica delivery for new clients.

What is the advantage of getting this deal through afrihost? What could it potentially do better than straight through telkom? :) (asking as a current 2tb owner, who may switch ;) )

Its also R100 more with them so why switch?

Looking good during loadshedding, through not sure if the area where the tower is has loadshedding. As I am not sure where the tower is located

You in Cape Town? Mine still drops after 30mins or so then I get booted off to another tower with everyone else. Unfortunately not great speeds on all network options. Strange since vodacom/rain broadcasting from same tower isn't affected and this is a new thing for telkom here. Usually only happens with MTN and CellC.

You can pay by card so no need for a debit order and credit checks. As someone who struggled for more than a year to cancel a Telkom line (after they forced switch to those terrible fixed line look alike phones) I'm hesitant to have anything to do with Telkom accounts. I'd gladly pay more for that.

Plus with Afrihost it's a true month to month package and you can order online without being left hanging.

How is the gaming performance on the network? Any issues?
I'm going to assume that will be dependent on your tower. For me, where I live, Telkom is more stable and has better latency than Rain's 5G. So you will have to see how congested your tower is. Also another thing though, when there is loadshedding telkom towers seem to remain online, well in my area at least.
