The best person to ask would be @cavedog. He spent a fair bit of time with the band tool and wrote a couple of posts about it. Don't know if it still works after all the router updates. Might be a hit or miss.
 
Dankie man, ek het die bandtool. maar kan net een band select 2300mhz. Dan is hy op 20mhz. Ek lees van ouens wat 40+40 connect dan kry hulle 40mhz...

So ver ek weet, as dit 2300MHz is dan sal dit automaties LTE-A op 2 x 2300Mhz (20+20)
Ek kan ongelukkig nie toets nie want my B618 is nie by my op die oomblik nie.

Kan jy nie n speedtest doen en kyk of jy n verskil kan sien as jy verskillende band profiles aktiveer nie?

Band 40 2300mhz werk maar die beste, dit se op telkom se site ook dat die 2tb is op die 2300mhz band. Maar my modem al sit ek hom op auto, of ek kies band 40 dan connect hy net 20mhz... sal bq venaand gaan toets.
 
I would really like to go for this Telkom package, but my only concern is during load-shedding when the power is off the tower backup does not last...

During loadshedding this speed goes down to around 4mb but the telkom tower is the only provider in our area that is always up

Last time we had loadshedding it was full speed though

Yeah I have no choice on my modem but it always selects it automatically

What do you guys reckon is the fastest way to sign up for this deal?
Online or going in store and is debit order the only option?
 
That is probably the best. It's just the queue that is worrying me.
But then one can ask all the questions and make 100% sure of everything.
