My line wasn't rate limited. It ran at what I considered were speeds diminished due to congestion and/or reduced broadcast strength due to running on residual power. It fluctuated between 5mbps and 17mbps... was brilliant under the circumstances...Its a pity its not full speed but 4mb is better than 0
if you existing client just ID otherwiseI want to go to the shop tomorrow what documents should i take?
ah thats likely the case then was just the speed when checked def not limtedMy line wasn't rate limited. Either new router or xpol from poyntingSo I got this deal, currently running on a Huawei B535 router. Any tips to get a faster speed? Its getting between 60-100 Mbps but I want to get it a bit higher as the family is putting some strain on it currently.
My best guess would be that you can transfer up to 10GBs per month in 1GB increments per day to one or more SIMS (there's also a limit to the number of different SIMS you can transfer to if memory serves, and they all need to be on the SmartBroadband Wireless Prepaid Tarriff plan.View attachment 1296382
This seems to be part of the same data deals family at Telkom.
Anyone know if data is shareable?

You could check your stats using the tool @cavedog posted years back. You will definitely be able to determine by looking at the signal strength. Have you changed bands whilst having this problem?Just a question to the other LTE/2TB people.
I have had rock solid speeds and latency for years every now (on Telkom LTE) and again it went a bit iffy but didnt last long.
I got this deal on Monday but 4/5 days before getting the deal I noticed issues that for an hour or two at a time but thought it was loadshedding, am I connecting to another tower?

This will last for an hour or two and then be back to this

Its not necessarily any specific time. Maybe im just observing the speeds closer than usual.
I do know that many service providers fibre included have had issues the last two weeks, is it likely that?
Yeah seems pretty much the same across the board. As I said happened on the old LTE deal just before I changed, only lasts an hour or two usually. You could check your stats using the tool @cavedog posted years back. Same everything just swooped the sim, but as I said this was happening 4 or so days before new 2tb deal just though it was ls relatedSame router?
This is why I either lock the router to B3 or B40 and not auto. While set to auto, the router will stick to B40 for download and then automatically switch to B3 for upload. Somewhere in the mix of things, my router connects to a different B40 cell on the same tower, but with a weaker signal. Locking either to B40 or B3 solved this for me.Same everything just swooped the sim, but as I said this was happening 4 or so days before new 2tb deal just though it was ls related
Sweet thanks will give this a go anything over 50 is more than fast enough so I don't mind having constant speeds ratherThis is why I either lock the router to B3 or B40 and not auto. You can either use huaCtrl app or Huawei Band Tools to set the band.
Yes, I have a B818 and B618. You can grab the tools here -> https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1e2-ZBX3NRtfHgEu4y2l3zdSxcKFqiflASweet thanks will give this a go anything over 50 is more than fast enough so I don't mind having constant speeds rather
What is the huawei band tools you refer too? Will they work on the b618?
./LTE_2300_TDD.sh/bat
./LTE_1800.sh/bat
./SHOW_SIGNAL_STRENGTH.sh/bat

Works on Windows, Linux or Mac. Just unzip and go to the appropriate folder. Update the huawei_band_tool_config.txt with your router IP, username and password. Then you can execute scripts. If you want to force B40, it will be:or:Code:./LTE_2300_TDD.sh/batfor B3. If you want to monitor signal strength, use:Code:./LTE_1800.sh/batCode:./SHOW_SIGNAL_STRENGTH.sh/bat
