How often/many of these eggs can you buy at one time?

They're a faction in the Sholozarr (sp) basin. You can only get 1 egg at a time

the fact that there is nothing better out there.
Have you tried any? EVE is easily one of the most polished MMO experiences I've encountered. There are some ex-Wowheads I know trying out Everquest 2 and they're very impressed. I tried LotrO and while it wasn't for me - i'm not really all that big into Tolkein and it was a bit too pve focused - it was incredibly good looking, deep and polished. I think a lot of people are reluctant to try other games thinking they're all crap, but just because one or two didn't live up to expectations (AoC, WAR) doesn't mean they're all bad.

Funny you mentioned that, busy patching lotro, decided to reinstall it last night. Time to blow the dust off Demora Lising the hobbit tank, and have a go at kneecapping trolls again

EVE just looks so terrifyingly grindy. Or rather, farmy. It's one of the things I really like about WAR - the lack of farming (which unfortunately doesn't measure up against the things I don't like).

I had a little fun while playing EVE. But even with RL friends in the game, who were established and semi-keen to help out... so much effort.

Welfare epics killed WoW...plain and simple. 95% of WotLK awards mediocrity with an overpowered sense of achievement. Many players are wearing gear they haven't really 'earned'. They stood there and AoE'd down 40 mobs, tanked 1 boss, looted an epic and now call themselves 'raiders'. It required no preparation, no skill and yet they are 'raiders'. Imba hawtness, leetzor, now you look just like the nub next to you who did the same, looks the same and 'experienced' the same content.

The gear is too easy to get, and with Blizzard pandering to the masses by making the 'content' accessible, they have created their own biggest stumbling block. Soon the better players (dare I say real raiders) will move on to the next game and the OMGIAML33T masses will realise that they in fact don't really know how to play their class and have in fact achieved nothing.

Do I sound elitist? Probably, but I remember the days of running passed a High Warlord and stopping to salute. I remember the days of seeing people in gear from the 'real' Naxx and wishing I was a part of that. I remember the days of a timed Baron run.....I remember very little of WotLK besides Group / AoE / Loot / rinse - repeat...

Bathoz, I suppose you could call EVE a bit grindy but quite frankly it's a fun grind. There's tons of places to go and tons of ways to grind be it piracy, manageing a corp, mining, questing, manufacturing, etc.

Mining is not fun. I did mission running. Bleh. Dull. If I wanted to run an AH character, I could do a proper stock exchange game.

It really disappointed me, actually. "Commanding cap ships" and "sandbox, anything goes gaming" are basically my dream ideas. I bought Battlecruiser 3000AD for pete sake! (And Independence War, and sequel, which rocked).

I'm looking forward to the other cap ship game... er... Not Jumpgate.

Hell, maybe I'll give EVE another go. Maybe I just need to get closer to the "endgame".

EVE really is for those guys in WoW whose overriding goal was to amass 40K gold and never spend a cent of it. The ideal game for capitalists.

I think the real payoff is in the very long run. Stories I've heard of fleet battles with hundreds of cruisers and battleships slugging it out in lowsec space sure sounds epic. And the game seems to generate some epic drama of it's own, the whole boB vs Goonswarm thing for eg.

It's not very accessible or even much fun in the beginning, but there's something about the promise, the potential of piloting my own battlecruiser kitted out in enough firepower to husk planets that's kept my interest. I think, in every way imaginable, it is WoW's polar opposite, which is probably what draws me to it. WAR, LotrO, they're all too much like WoW. I needed something drastically different, and found it in EVE.

I think its the complexity of WOW that is becoming it's downfall. Every new release adds something to the game, new spells/attacks etc. All of these need to be balanced. The more that is added, the more difficult it becomes to balance the game for PVP and Raids.

So now we have an extremely complex game that got 10 times worse with the addition of the DK's because they had to be balanced with all of the other classes. PVP is totally messed at the moment and 99% of the content too easy. IMO, they would probably need to cut back on 70% of the spells, etc for each class and go back to basics, forget about "bring the player and not the class" story and significantly cut back on the gear multipliers in order to fix things but that will never happen.

Maybe bosses should take back an epic from each player if the raid wipes :D

Skurm, I'm screwed then coz from the moment I hopped into my Reaper's cockpit I was having a blast.
I just did a quick mission in my Rifter now that I've done some research and geared it a bit and let me tell you, warping into a bunch or Pirates and wasting them with not even a scratch can get real addictive.
I'm still in 0.6 space at the mo while I work on specific gear and skills but I'll be heading to a Sec 0.0 real soon.

I realy would like EVE but I think it is a bit to complex. I mean with WoW you just start everything is simple and basic. But then again I don't realy do MMO or MP anymore.

I really do hope that 3.1 would make WoW a bit more exciting... Kind of over WoW at the moment. I'm going to play Runes Of Magic for a while before buying a new gamecard.

I feel you , if you mention pirate wow servers you are bound to get a certain type of response from ppl and it boils down to sense of achievement and rewards for your efforts , wow has/is becoming a pirate server and they dont even realise it.

Umm lemme see , Warhammer , Eve online, FF online, Lotr online, Age of conan , none of them had me hooked for more than a few hours.
Ah, well, I'd attribute that more to personal preference then, than the actual supposed superiority of said product.
I'm a big fan of the game, played it for years, recently started playing it again. I guess I find myself fortunate that it doesn't have that complete stranglehold on me, though. WAR was actually fun enough to keep me accupied for about 3, 4 months which isn't bad at all in the grand scheme of things, and EVE is getting more and more interesting and addictive with each passing day I play it.
My days of being a one-mmo-wonder are done and dusted, fortunately.

I'm still tooling around in my mining frigate in high-sec space, and starting to look at production runs. The crafting aspect of this game has grabbed me like no other. I have to subscribe to be able to pilot industrial class vessels, so I'll probably be doing that tonight. I didn't think I'd really like EVE or get past the learning curve but the more I bash away at it the less I can put it down. There is still so much to learn, and just scrolling through the starmap last night and realising I'd only explored a section of space the size of my backyard in a gameworld that's effectively the scale of the continetal United States was humbling. This isn't a game you level to 80 in a few weeks and start raiding, that's for sure.

Yeah, the leveling process in EVE is actually quite fun.
I found a station selling a slew of Attribute skills last night so I grabbed em all and queued up since increasing Base Attributes will increase training in general.
