Hi, I Have 3 Mac Pro G5's all with memory problems although they slightly different.
The one has 2x 512 DDRII 667 Stock Memory and a additional 2x 2GB chips. The Mac has 2x Riser cards for the memory but in the operating system it only picks up what ever chip is in the first DIMM on riser A and the others it picks up as empty. I've swapped the memory and riser cards around, I've also only used the new memory or stock memory and it still only pick up 1 DIMM.
The other 2 Macs does pritty much the same but it picks up the first DIMMS on both riser cards.

The Mac's are fully up to date with the latest firmware.
Has anyone had this problem before or has any suggestions

Try an app called Rember to test the RAM in your Mac Pro's. If the app doesn"t pick up the RAM it might even be the RAM slots on your Mac Pro that is the problem.
