After 3 weeks I still only get GPRS speeds although my modem shows HSDPA.
It keeps timeing out. Can this be a virus?
I will have to send this post at least 3 times before it goes through.
Never had this problem before. Had great speed.
Even the wifi hotspot here is just as slow. Is this a conspiracy for us in the deep south?

I'm having similar problems in Newlands, Cape Town.

I find that my connection slows down to almost zero, particularly in the evenings. I'm pretty sure I do not have a virus. I think that there is something wrong with the MTN network. KUK!!!!!

Yes, very KUK still. Last night it stopped at 19.30. Let's see when it stops tonight.
I only do internet at night and have a contract. If MTN can't deliver, I won't deliver. 4 weeks now.

Hi
Can you PM me the following details:
Exact Location at the time the issue is experienced?
Time and date of the occurrence?
What speeds were normally attainable in the same location before the issue?
Number for the Data Card?
Speed attained (slow speed)?

Regards

I don't know how to monitor speeds, but as an example, if I open this website it will do so in 2 seconds. Later on it will open in about 20 seconds and thereafter "Server not found" This happens between 18.00 and 19.30 every evening.
It is now 18.30 and the fastlink has changed from cyan to blue. So it will go off soon.
Location: Simons Town. Palace Hill Rd. Above station.

It is now 20.20pm and still have fast internet. At last.
