I recently purchased a Toshiba L500-1UU laptop preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. After about 2 weeks or so I was forced to perform a recovery but I used the 32bit Recovery Discs as they were the only discs included in the packaging. I managed to get everything working again but now I need to upgrade it from 32bit to 64 bit.
Is there a way to do it without completely reloading the the OS? I would dearly love to keep all my programs and drivers intact as it took long enough to get it right? I tried using a 64bit Home Premium disc but the upgrade option doesn't work. Says its an incompatible version of Windows or Something to that effect...
