I was in Makro on friday and the had the PS51E550 and the 47LM5800 underneath each other. They had supersport HD on all the tv's and the lg looked better, brighter. Isn't the samsung suppose to be better? Although the one is 51" and the other 47" the samsung looked very dull and maybe a bit grainy. They had this ****ing annoying lg rep there that tried to sell me the lg, it really pissed me off! And apperantly you cannot get the remote of a certain tv because its "still in the box".
You were duped by the usual charlatans tricks. Bright shop lighting leads to judging by brightness. Brightness =/= PQ. This is why I told you it is crucial not to judge on bright showroom floors. Also you don't know the settings used.
Second duping is judging from aisle viewing distances. LCD appears crisper up close although FHD plasma should be as crisp, just a bit "fuzzy".
Np when at viewing distance.
IOW when judging TVs, judge in similar lighting conditions and viewing distance. Otherwise you will walk out with an "LED TV" (no such thing lol) and be disappointed once you're home because it doesn't look like it did in store (torch mode, 100% brightness/contrast which is fail).
