South Africa's 5G coverage — MTN vs Telkom vs Vodacom vs Rain

South Africa's major mobile network operators are continually expanding their 5G networks, with the cellular technology now available through most operators in most of the country's major metros.

MyBroadband asked MTN, Rain, Telkom, and Vodacom for an update on their 5G coverage in South Africa.

Is this analogue tv switch off happening now? Was hoping this would allow the networks to greatly increase the quality of their networks (especially MTN in Cape Town)

I see that Telkom has enabled 5G for the fruit phones, but it's not registering on 5G. Anyone else have luck with connecting to 5G on a mobile device?

I am in a rural area of mpumalanga, Vodacom activated 5G at the start of the month, but to be honest it's just 4G. I'm on a Redmi Note 9T 5G. Network seems to be more unstable now both on 4g and 5g. Too many timeouts, like every 10 minutes, the wait can take a minute
