8ta problems in Centurion

Hi all

I am having serious issues with 8ta lately in Centurion area (Highveld). It shows that it is connected but there is no connection, no sites wants to load, google talk disconnects (as if no connection).

Can the 8ta rep shed some light on this?

This has been going on for last five days or so.

Dear Mr.8ta Representative,
When are you guys going to fix my problem that I have for the last 2 months??? I mailed you guys, I phoned you guys (no option to speak to an operator), I asked you guys over fb as well. I live in a building with an 8ta tower built on top of it. I get speeds of 8kbps...the damn thing stays on hspa. What happened? it was brilliant on wcdma. Please man, I live in Paarl. Don't ignore this message like you did with my previous messages.

This has been going on for last five days or so.

I have been experiencing the same problem
it connects fine but then after about 10-15mins it doesnt connect (sometimes longer)
the light on the modem changes from light blue to dark blue, so i thought it was maybe a modem problem
but it seems it might be a network problem

Steady blue light means you are still connected, just no trafic. If you generate traffic, but there is no response it could be network problem.

OR blinking blue - you had been disconnected.

sorry I didnt clarify
it was steady blue which iirc usually means switching over to edge??
but either way, cant connect to anysite when it happens

usually happens between 5-8pm, sometimes abit later too

No. EDGE is usually green steady light.
As I wrote, steady blue is normal when you don't generate any traffic. But if network do not responding it will be the same.

You should investigate your signal strenght, maybe you are on the cell edge.

signal has been about 60% since Nov last year

Looks like they already forgot about you!

I've had endless talks to them and no outcome!
