Hi all.

Recently I'm getting an error when I insert my simcard into the usb modem. It initialises and gives me the error: "no (u)sim".

What does this mean?

Hi Shaun108!

Has this been sorted? You do not give any information regarding your modem type etc. "no (u)sim" basically says no UMTS SIM was detected.

Let us know...

Hi, I've done a sim swop. Turns out the old sim card was damaged. The new one works fine now. Customer service was good at the 8ta store also, was sorted out within 15 mins.

A U SIM has more memory than a SIM for a phone. Check you were given the correct one. Although all should work, maybe you were given an old one. Verify the SIM number with 8ta and ask them what it is registered as
