8ta speeds suck! Report here... [solved!]

What I can't understand is that I'm getting a full scale signal but yet my speeds are terrible.

Hmmm... maybe tower/network congestion? Is it the same when you're in a completely different location?

LOL... my 8.ta connection just dropped :o First time today though :p

...how sad it is when my connection drops I immediately accept it and console myself with the fact that it's "only" happened once today - like that's a good thing :wtf:

....not again, a few months ago we had this issue where 8ta buggered up and every ones connections turned horrible between 5pm and midnight. It appears to be back (last night and tonight), they fixed it last time after a week of bombardment they received from customers on Facebook and this forum. Why oh why has this started again if you KNOW you messed it up last time 8ta. I don't feel like going through the whole process again, since you know what the issue is. FIX IT! flippen NOW!

I suspect it will get worse as the evening progresses, we all know the pattern by now. Out of interest sake, any other users experiencing the same, feel free to post your speedtest results here.

same boat here. back down from sub 80ms pings to 1000ms pings. so freaking frustrating. RAGE at 8ta. i am trying to play on the Telkom DO Gaming League and this crap happens, causing me to get banned.

Let's start a competition to see who can have the slowest download speed / longest ping to a local server

Seems something has gone horribly wrong with 8ta, I'm in Cape Town - Brackenfell. I tested using 8ta prepaid before committing to the 10GB contract, worked really well, so I signed up. Tonight my 8ta internet has grinded to an absolute halt:

Speedtest.net results, after repeated disconnects/re-connects, all local servers:

I'm hope this post makes it onto the forum server! Guys please tell me who to contact and how to report this.

This really sucks!

Well lets hope the 8ta rep here sees this, apparently he had quite a bit of influence in getting 8ta to fix the same glitch after it happened last year. Took a week then though, and we never got any official feedback from them. The bottom line is this really shouldn't be happening again.... someone at 8ta needs a kick up the backside.
