I'm probably telling you what you already know, but there are two apps, one a monthly sub for VIP with no ads, and another is the Pro. Both have different ways of doing attachments and both started to infuriate me with the constant niggles and eventually earlier this year, constant errors while adding an attachment.

I think the first time I paid a lifetime sub was 2011 with my Samsung S2. That was dropped by Tapatalk after a few years and we all got given VIP status for a while, can't remember how long. So I paid 9.99 GBP for the Pro and it also just deteriorated over the years. Went back to VIP and that got schit as well with constant time outs and error messages attaching photos. So I just gave up a few months ago and use Safari on my phone now.

Edit: And yes I follow a few forums but just have shortcuts to them on Safari.

Didn’t realise it was two different things, just figured Pro had no ads and job done.

Are the two apps different then?

Similar in look and functionality, but they both handle attachments differently. I might just reinstall and see if anything has changed, because I do agree that Tapatalk is unbeatable for browsing.

I think that was a typo.

Just that I get stutter when scrolling
 
I’m finding the share a bit weird.

I browse my photo gallery and find a photo I’d like to share to Instagram. I share to Instagram and it literally shares the post - no editing options or filters?

If you're referring to 'stutter' when scrolling in Tapatalk, then yes, I experience the same

(it's Tapatalk, as others have said above, Tapatalk has, ahem, let's call them quirks, that I just live with 'cos there is no alternative to it)

I think that's on the receiving app - I don't use Insta - when I share to Whatsapp I get the editing options (crop, caption, etc) when the photo is shared.

Again entirety dependant on the application and how they implement the share menu.

Don’t use Instagram, but for other stuff it will ask me what I want to do etc before hitting send.

Why are you so adverse to posting from within apps? It’s the same gallery?

So regarding Snapseed, it can’t open from anything other than the device itself. It can’t open from any cloud.

I guess I could try the other apps - but it’s just it’s 2022 and I thought one could share any other app from a centralised point.

Going to each individual app is a bit old school.

Of course - it’s a Facebook app which is one of the guys trying to sabotaged Apple /s

So bad Snapseed, Instagram, Tapatalk, 22Seven, MyBB, WhatsApp . At least after a number of setting’s my Mail deleted

A bit snarky when the peeps are trying to help you.

As mentioned forget your Android workflows. Start a fresh and people are more than happy to help out if you can't find something or you want to confirm its inability to do something

Nothing to do work sabotage just different or lazy.

They probably have a **** ton of analytical data that says people don’t work this way and go directly to their app instead or whatever.

You left out iCloud…that works just fine because it’s baked right in.

It’s a horrible layout.

It’s got 5 tabs versus 3 on Android.

The 3rd tab being ‘Chat’ … and a camera tab. Why? Chatting is the reason for app and should start with it. Camera is a duplicate and shouldn’t even exist where it does

I was just trying to this and Tapatalk crashed. I know I won’t believed- but does iPhone have logs or a crash ?

This post right here pretty much sums it all up.

I never even knew the camera button was never, never knew it existed until reading it now and going “heh?” and then needing to double check.

It’s literally been that simple to ignore it.

But somewhere in the world right now are a couple of hundred or even thousand people who love using WhatsApp’s utterly **** camera that way.

Can’t remember if you can see it on device any more, might need to be plugged into Xcode.

But there is some OS data in Settings > Privacy > Analytics and Improvements.

Apps would keep their own logs and need to use Crash Reports to pull them out.

Out of interest, are you using some third party keyboard?
