A5 jailbreak released

Downgrade. Impossible to say if and when 5.1 will be broken.
 
This is getting frustrating now... I manually downloaded iOS 5.0.1 from Apple to my PC. When I try to install it says that it is not compatible with the device. They have version 5.0.1 WiFi ; 5.0.1 GSM and 5.0.1 CDMA. I d/l the CDMA version.....is it the correct one or not for the IPad 2 3g ? Then I tried to update with ITunes and everytime it will d/l more than halfway and then there is a "Network failure"

What am I doing wrong ???
 
So I downloaded it, Jailbreak worked. I now have Cydia. I downloaded some .ipa apps, and when I load them in iTunes and Sync, I get an error on the iPad ('App Name' failed to install)... Now what?

EDIT: This might be relevant, I have 2 iStore accounts, my U.S one linked to my U.S card, and a S.A one linked to my S.A card. I tried logging in to both before syncing. Same issue.

You need to install appsync on the iPad. For iOS 5.0+ available through Cydia.

How long does the "Beginning jailbreak, this may take a while..." part take. Mine has been going for 25 min now and the indicator seems like it hasnt moved. :confused:

Enable your VPN

Also did you erase your Ipad completely before you did the jailbreak?
Read somewhere that some of the guys waited about 30mins when they started the jailbreak....

Thanks. When I click on enable VPN it asks for configuration settings. What do I enter. (Excuse all the questions but I'm trying)

Correct.

Connect your iPad to iTunes, ensure it makes a backup. Then settings>general>reset>erase all content and settings... When the device reboots run through the start up settings, don't do a restore through iTunes but run the jailbreak tool. Should be done in about 2 minutes...

Thanks guys your help is appreciated.....worked like a charm. :o One last question : When I click on Cydia I get " Could not activate cellular data network"

Check your internet settings. Either connect using wifi or connect to iTunes and update the iPad carrier settings and connect via 3G.

Alternatively go to settings>general>reset>reset network settings
