Just got mine on Friday, so far so good but every time I boot up it asks me to format the drive. No way im doing that so I just say cancel an then I can use the drive.

Is there anyway for me to make this stop ?

You put a hard-drive in that already has data on it?

I have the same problem. As far as I know, the only way of fixing it, is by backing up your stuff and letting the Playon format your drive.

I suppose it is part of the design with the Playon? You will have to try googling it and see if anyone else has this issue.

The PlayonHD unit is a fantastic piece of machinery.

Does the Mede8er do this?

Yes, same as with the PlayonHD. You don't have to format the drive with the player, but it's recommended.

To format your Mede8er internal hard disk. Will create one NTFS partions and several small linux partitions to support Mede8er features.
