My exgirlfriend was bipolar, crystal meth addict, borderline personality disorder, sociopathic tendancies and a compulisve liar to boot. With many of the traits, you get random, meanlingless sex with anyone so you're constantly worried - which for me was the one of the largest issues. Sleeping around and sex is a non-issue for them.

And, oddly, she was very pretty ... really intelligent, smart, witty, life of the party etc If you don't know about those, you'd actually say 'wow - what a catch!. She could adapt and change her personaity to whatever suited the situation (a clubber, a rocker, a relaxed drinker, a hardcore drug addict etc)

In and out of drug rehabs since age 14, had a child at 17, expelled from just about every school, juvi record.

In our 3 years together we had 1 decent year. It was really decent though :/

It's very sad actually and I can empathise with her...Most bipolar people are intellegent but the irrationality and the overwhelming ure to be someone/somewhere else and escape from yourself makes it very easy to turn to drugs ...Which only compound the disorder and cause even further problems...Must have been hard on you...

Congrats on the 7 years, keep it up. I've been fortunate enough to not have been addicted to anything, and I've tried everything except cigs and H.

Big of you to take responsibility for your past actions and try to make reparations.

Shot dude...

this thread has come a far way

It makes for better reading than the "don't get a credit card because it will suck in your soul and trap it forever" type threads.

Imagine the morphine feeling and multiply it by 10...Thats heroin....Instant addiction...

Do you think someone who used heroin (lets' say even just a few times) can stop and now live a 'normal' life with kids, etc? Or are there always issues.

Yup...If he /she was lucky enough not become addicted and suffer the withdrawals of coming clean...There should be no problem...BUT...He/She will never forget the feeling of utter peace that can only be discribed as a prolonged orgasm wrapped in cotton wool...It's been 7 years and I still crave from time to time...I crave the feeling of weightlessness and freedom..Having no worries and being engulfed in a warm silk blanket of euphoric pleasure....

I have been divorced but I am happily re-married with a new baby...I have a well paying job and am a dam good husband and father..so the answer to your question is "yes".

Is it possible to become addicted to heroin after using it just once? As I've mentioned before, I don't have an addictive personality so I've always been curious to know what it feels like to be addicted to something. Even considered taking a drag on a cig just to see whether I would become addicted, but I hate the smell of those things. I guess my Q is this:

Is H really the most addictive drug and is it possible to try it without getting hooked?

AFAIK (I might be very very wrong)

The 2 most addictive drugs in the world is Heroin and Morphine

Crystal meth is up there ... it's generally considered number 2.

97% relapse rate as well

hmmm, well, i was very very very very close to getting sucked into the whole drug scene, my friends started experimenting with drugs while I was in grade 9, we started smoking cigs and what not, when soon enough I realised that I was addicted to smokes! then as grade 10 rolled by, then started doing cocaine, MDMA, E, and other shyte that I can't remember... However, in grade 10 I was offered numerous times and I've been very close to getting into that scene... I lost many friends in grades 10 and 11 because I said I'm not doing drugs, and I distanced myself from that crowd simply because I realised if cigarettes can get me hooked so easily, then wtf will cocaine, crystal meth etc do to me. Towards the end of grade 11 my marks had improved massively. Now in matric I only see those druggies at school. My marks are continuously improving (got an A in maths this term :) ).

However, I don't think the one guy is fairing too well, I heard from a friend that he started doing crystal meth, and I think it's time to call quits on the guy, he's not coming to school anymore... he is ALWAYS aggressive, and he didn't attend most of this terms exams... He has lost about 30 kg's of mass (he weighs 50kg's now and is 193 cm's tall).

If this doesn't put the fear of god into any one willing to do drugs then I don't know what will... Drugs are great, while you doing them, but after a while, your body just gives way...

H is 100% addictive...My advice is to keep further away from H than from a H1N1 care clinic....

Being addicted to heroin is enslavement...Without it you can't function and you suffer massive withdrawals that can only be described as flu on steroids...It feels like your bones are made of ice and your skin is on fire...Then there's the dihorea and vomiting and the spasm and muscle cramps...You end up taking H not to get high but just to be able to function...You become the living dead...food is not a requirement anymore..Sex is mundane and you are a slave to Heroin and will do anything to get it and keep the sickness at bay..

Don't even try it once...i did it once...

don't kid yourself, you can get hooked very easily but drugs, weather it be cigs, cocaine, coffee, whatever...

I'm just lucky i realised I've got the habitual sort of personality, otherwise I would be on the streets of newlands at this moment .

Pornstar, you are about my age (18), and I'm sure you have friends that are doing drugs, or you know someone that is doing drugs... now, what i want you to do is RUN THE F AWAY FROM THOSE PEOPLE. Don't try drugs, don't be temped, trust me on this one, you don't know how bad it can get until you see it happen right in front of your eyes. Find new friends, drink booze, screw women (with a condom on of course), but just remember most of the illegal drugs and illegal for a reason, the government isn't trying to sap the fun out of life for us, it's trying to protect us from being one big useless society... sure some drugs like Weed and Shrooms are fine, but the other drugs will F you over...
