don't kid yourself, you can get hooked very easily but drugs, weather it be cigs, cocaine, coffee, whatever...

I'm just lucky i realised I've got the habitual sort of personality, otherwise I would be on the streets of newlands at this moment .

sure some drugs like Weed and Shrooms are fine, but the other drugs will F you over...

Dude I was on the streets of Fishoek/Kommetjie/Harbourside and Muzenburg...Not cool..O.K. I did live in my car (which my mother was paying for....One of the worst things I did was rent a video machine from a video shop a sell it at a pawn shop for Heroin...Bad times man...Bad times...

Weed can be bad too...Especially if you get stoned every night and your wife doesn't...kills the sex life and eventually the relationship collapses...Don't kid yourself...Weed is NOT harmless.

I once used to work with a Bipolar Bisexual.

My friend is a Bipolar Bisexual...Bipolar people have much lower inhibitions than normal people...They really need to go on the right meds and treat themselves...It can be done...Although I'm sure my friend would still be bisexual..

I think bipolar and bisexual go hand in hand when talking about the girls.

Huh??
Generalising is dangerous....I'm as straight as you get...fair enough I know 2 Bipolar girls that have had lesbian sex...But they generally prefer penis.

moral of the story, don't do drugs!

easier said than done I'm afraid...the world has a way of happening to people in various ways and anyone from any creed and backround can become a drug addict....I met a 38 year old father of 3 who is an orthopedic surgeon and is also a pethadine addict...He even rubberised his office so as to not hurt himself when he got high...he used to put himself on a Peth drip and chill out for hours...

ANYONE can become a drug addict....
"Don't do drugs"....Easier said than done....

This is exactly why I haven't tried any drugs at all... Been offered many times but have said no despite being super curious. I just know I'd love them :/ The way Bipolar Dude described the feeling that Heroin gives you... Wow... Who wouldn't want that???

S.h.i.t they really ruin a person's life don't they? Scary stuff :(

Pornstar, you are about my age (18), and I'm sure you have friends that are doing drugs, or you know someone that is doing drugs... now, what i want you to do is RUN THE F AWAY FROM THOSE PEOPLE. Don't try drugs, don't be temped, trust me on this one, you don't know how bad it can get until you see it happen right in front of your eyes. Find new friends, drink booze, screw women (with a condom on of course), but just remember most of the illegal drugs and illegal for a reason, the government isn't trying to sap the fun out of life for us, it's trying to protect us from being one big useless society... sure some drugs like Weed and Shrooms are fine, but the other drugs will F you over...

Try 34 :D. I've been where you've been, tried almost everything for the sake of friends. I'm just curious as a to why some people are so easily addicted and others aren't. One of my closest friends ended up in re-hab twice, we basically did the same stuff at the same time, yet I went one way and he went another. Both coming from similar backgrounds, good families, etc.

That's why I said bipolar and girls ...

I don't have it - but I've read quite a few first hand experiences. Seems quite a number of girls with bipolar, have also had lesbian sex or girl-on-girl. Far more than the 'normal' girl.

Also seems many bipolars and slightly off centre people love forums, chats and the online scene. Also been accused of generalising, but then RPM posted an article stating something similar.

Again on generalising, ever noticed how every person with the label 'bipolar' fit the symptons almost exactly?

Thats the allure of drugs in general...Initially you use them to escape reality and the mundane existance of the life you lead (normal people go to the movies to escape for a while..), then you escape often enough that you can no longer function in the real world without them...drugs destroy lives and tear families apart...
I was clinically dead for about a minute and a half due to a heroin overdose but was ressusitated and am lucky to be alive...Even after nearly dying i continued to use heroin for a furth 3 years.....

The drug is THAT powerful....Stay away...coming clean took me 3 weeks of physical suffering....

It has been proven that some people are born with a genetic defect that makes them more open to becoming addicts...Something to do with chemical imbalance in the brain and dopamine production and hormone proteins (can't really remember)...But some people are born with what is mistakenly called "an addictive personality"....The scariest thing is that its hereditary!!!

Its a proven fact that most alcoholics have an alcoholic parent for example...

My mother is addicted to gambling and we have had her banned from every casino in the country and she attends gamblers annonomous every wednesday....

It is also proven that when a person becomes addicted to any substance, there are permanent changes in the brain and the brain starts producing a hormone protein (forget its name) that it never stops producing...This hormone suppresses the ability of a person to say no or even to stop..Ergo: "Once an addict, always an addict" and if you have ever been addicted to anything your brain is producing this substance and you need to steer clear of EVERYTHING...You WILL become addicted to it...whatever it is.
