Hi Guys
We have a bunch of users that have received Nokia Lumia's from the company, for the company.
Is there a way of administrating the device?

Basically as I.T we would want to have control over the device in terms of wiping the device, tracking it and erasing it as well as also controlling what kind of apps are installed on it as well?

Is there any software kits out there that do sort of thing?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Grim
Thanks for you reply.

Yes we do, we're running Exchange 2010

Paid software or freeware?
If paid, try the trail for MobileIron.

Though still largely under the radar for many, Microsoft is poised to make serious inroads in the MDM market, seriously threatening current faves like Mobile Iron and AirWatch. Take a look at this.

Thanks guys for all your replies, busy checking out the links

Exchange has basic MDM capabilities, remote lock, wipe, security policy etc.

Won't be able to control apps or track devices but it is a start.

Hi All

My one client has also bought a number of Nokia Lumia devices and would like to manage these devices centrally. I will check out the Microsoft DM link. Thank you.

AirWatch, from a 3rd party involved in another client's implementation. I won't touch AirWatch with a stick. It may be provoked and give another set of random and unrelated issues.
