Hi there guys!

Not sure if this post is relevant under ADSl but I'm sure there will be someone here with the answer :)

I set up my ADSL today and now when I get an incoming call my caller line identity doesn't display their number... it says something like "message error".

I have simply connected a splitter as I am only using 1 phone and modem. Would a micro filter on the phone line maybe fix this problem?

Thanks in advance!! :)

All you phones, fax machines, alarms etc should be behind an adsl filter otherwise they will degrade your adsl performance and can cause the adsl connection to drop.

the microfilter must be connected to all phones, if you have a seperate CLI device, put a microfilter on it as well

Ok great! Thanks guys! Will get a microfilter tomorrow :)

just want to check the set up for it. wall socket>splitter>filter>phone

and then wall socket>splitter>modem?

CLI on analogue lines????

By analogue do you mean normal home phone line?

If so, then yip... you can pay per month for CLI and u need a CLI enabled phone.

Sorry if that's not what you were asking and I look like an idiot :D
