ADSL dead - anyone else?

Countrywide failure
Telkom are EPIC IDIOTS

Line synchs... wont authenticate... typical Friday afternoon. Good luck to them fixing it by tonight because they all have a.braai then sod off home

Dead in Greenstone Hill / Edenvale. (Afrihost)... 10210 also dead, but international callcenter nr for PTA works. Here Telkom confirmed national blackout, but could not say for how long...

Hi there

Our ADSL just died in Centurion. Our ADSL lines died (hence not our ISP).

Anyone else?

Mine went down for 60 seconds... then came back up again. I am currently posting this from my uncapped account. However, it is just my office that is online. Our offices next door have not come back up and neither have any of my clients.

I'm up, but a friend just 2 exchanges over is still down.

Dead in melkbossatrand on openweb and telkom internet.

I think this issue has been coming for a while, though. I've been experiencing random disconnects all week.

Tinfoil hat time... all at farewell parties or sabotage linked to strike action?

Telkom working on it - no ETA at this time.

Our connections (MWEB and Telkom) came back up around 10 minutes ago.

Same.
I see that the radius servers are straining now, they are chucking out half the authentication requests.

What is super scary is that we have such large single points of failure on our national network.
